POZNANSKI is my name and my practice — cinematography, documentary, production. Sixteen years and counting. One path.
It started in 2010 in Sumy as Vivat! — an event agency I built with Alina. I started at Sumy State University in 2003; Alina came a year later. We met that September of 2004, fell in love on the Maidan during the Orange Revolution that autumn, married in 2008. By 2010 we were filming weddings and corporate events across northeastern Ukraine.
In 2018 I rebranded the practice as POZNANSKIteam and we moved to Kyiv. The wedding side became @poznanskilove; the production line became POZNANSKIproduction. Two faces, one name.

Усе почалося в 2010-му у Сумах як Vivat! — івент-агенція, яку ми зібрали з Аліною. Я вступив до Сумського державного університету в 2003-му, Аліна — на рік пізніше. Познайомились у вересні 2004-го, тієї ж осені закохались на Майдані під час Помаранчевої революції, одружились у 2008-му. На 2010 рік уже знімали весілля і корпоративи по північному сходу України.
У 2018-му зробив ребрендинг як POZNANSKIteam і переїхали в Київ. Весільний напрямок став @poznanskilove; продакшн-лінія — POZNANSKIproduction. Два обличчя, одне ім'я.
I shoot what holds people together. Weddings — sixteen years of intimacy, ritual, family. Documentary — when the story matters more than the image. Music videos — when the image becomes the story.

My author films include "Tolerance Starts with Me" (2016, under a Grant from the President of Ukraine for Gifted Youth) and "Voice in the Water" (2023, shot on the day the Kakhovka Dam was destroyed).
Я знімаю те, що тримає людей разом. Весілля — шістнадцять років інтимності, ритуалу, родини. Документалка — коли історія важливіша за зображення. Музичні відео — коли зображення стає історією.

From March 2023 to March 2026 I served in the Armed Forces of Ukraine as Head Operator of Cultural Forces — a unit that brings Ukrainian musicians and artists to combat brigades on the frontline. Three years. Awarded the Medal "For Distinguished Service, 3rd Class."
I was Lead DP on "Soldiers of Song" (Tribeca 2024) — a documentary about Ukrainian musicians keeping their country alive through music in wartime. Cinematographer on "In Thanks We Trust" (Odesa IFF 2025) — about Ukrainian veterans on a transatlantic tour of gratitude across America, featuring Sean Penn and Sting.
I was Lead DP on Frontline Studio Season 2 — sixteen episodes, sixteen brigades, sixteen songs written together. Each episode is a portrait of a brigade and its people. MONATIK, Sasha Boole, alyona alyona, KOZAK SIROMAHA, PROBASS, Yurina, LELY45 — they all came with us to the frontline.
I demobilized in March 2026, after the birth of my third child.
З березня 2023-го по березень 2026-го служив у Збройних Силах України як Головний оператор Культурних сил — підрозділ, що везе українських музикантів і артистів у бойові бригади на фронті. Три роки. Нагороджений медаллю «За особливу службу III ступеня».
Lead DP документалки «Soldiers of Song» (Tribeca 2024) — фільму про українських музикантів, які тримають країну живою через музику в час війни. Оператор «In Thanks We Trust» (Одеський МКФ 2025) — про турне українських ветеранів-артистів по США за участі Шона Пенна і Стінга.
Lead DP 2-го сезону Фронтової студії — шістнадцять епізодів, шістнадцять бригад, шістнадцять пісень, написаних спільно. Кожен епізод — портрет бригади і її людей. MONATIK, Sasha Boole, alyona alyona, KOZAK SIROMAHA, PROBASS, Юріна, LELY45 — усі вони поїхали з нами на фронт.
Демобілізувався у березні 2026-го, після народження третьої дитини.
I've filmed in twenty-two countries — from Egypt to Iceland, from Macedonia to the United States. The U.S. tours for "In Thanks We Trust" alone covered more than a hundred events across two trips: the U.S. Congress, Carnegie Hall, New York to Los Angeles, Miami to Seattle.
In 2024, at Sean Penn's home in Los Angeles, my brother-in-arms Taras Stolyar played Sting's Shape of My Heart on the bandura. The next day he joined Sting on stage at a solo concert in LA. Metallica reposted his bandura cover of Nothing Else Matters to their 12-million followers.
In 2025 I was at NATO HQ in Brussels on the third anniversary of the full-scale invasion, at the EU-Ukraine Business Summit, and at Cannes for the premiere of "Bono: Stories of Surrender" — invited personally by Bono.
Знімав у двадцяти двох країнах — від Єгипту до Ісландії, від Македонії до Сполучених Штатів. Лише два тури США для «In Thanks We Trust» покрили понад сто подій: Конгрес США, Карнегі-холл, Нью-Йорк до Лос-Анджелеса, Маямі до Сіетла.
У 2024-му в домі Шона Пенна в Лос-Анджелесі мій побратим Тарас Столяр зіграв Стінгу Shape of My Heart на бандурі. Наступного дня він вийшов з Стінгом на сцену сольного концерту в LA. Metallica репостнули його бандурний кавер Nothing Else Matters своїм 12-мільйонним підписникам.
У 2025-му був у штаб-квартирі НАТО в Брюсселі на третю річницю повномасштабного вторгнення, на Бізнес-саміті ЄС-Україна, і в Каннах на прем'єрі «Bono: Stories of Surrender» — за особистим запрошенням Боно.
